This workshop by Ecology of Care will provide introductory exercises to get to know your fellow participants and provide the framework for creating your own community care system for the week ahead. We will focus on creating an agreed-upon safe(r) space within the group from an academic mental health standpoint rooted in accessibility, political and activism lens that centres around boundaries, and finally some coregulatory grounding exercises. Combining these various methods will give you some tools to help yourself and your comrades, and will invite vulnerability into the space; setting the tone for more profound experiences and deeper relationships in the following days.
